Sunsets is a beautifully appointed one bedroon apartment on the edge of the harbour in the centre of Looe ,with wonderful views of the river and harbour. These views can be best enjoyed from the living area which has two large picture windows framing a super panorama including the fishing and pleasure craft passing up and down the river.
Looe
Divided by the river and connected by the bridge, East and West Looe form a charming Cornish working harbour town bustling with life and busy fishing boats. East Looe centres on its broad sandy beach, distinctive Banjo Pier and new Lifeboat Station. The narrow streets making up the main business area of the town offer many small shops, restaurants, pubs and tea rooms.
Looe today remains a fishing town with its fleet of small fishing boats returning with their catches to the harbourside daily at high tide,a good photograph can be taken from the Banjo Pier of the boats returning to port at this time. The main business today is tourism, with much of the town given over to hotels, guest houses, holiday homes and shops selling beach equipment, ice cream and cornish pasties.
Outside the busy summer months the town remains a centre for shopping and entertainment . Although quieter in winter, on New Years Eve people wearing fancy dress fill the streets in their hundreds following local tradition. They start the evening in the town and slowly move towards the seafront and Banjo Pier to enjoy a firework display and welcome in the New Year.
